For the better part of the last year, Rhode Islanders, along with the world, have hunkered down for the pandemic. While staying home, working and learning from home has helped fight the pandemic, it’s taken a toll on many in terms of mind, body and spirit. The Straighten Up, RI campaign, sponsored by Chiropractic Society of Rhode Island, seeks to remedy that with on-going advice from the Ocean State’s chiropractic physicians.

Starting January 15, 2021, you will find articles, videos and blogs covering a range of topics on wellness for during and beyond the pandemic. Dr. Kristin Fabris introduced the campaign on CSRI's Get a Spine podcast.

Topics to be covered in the Straighten Up, RI campaign include:

  • How to move during Covid:
Tips for online yoga, T'ai Chi, and basic exercises/stretches
  • Working from home:
Tips for improving posture and ergonomic setup for workstation
  • Schooling from home:
What's the best ergonomic set up for kids? How do you keep the kids active and keep screen time to a minimum-with emphasis on the importance of keeping moving especially with regard to mental health for tweens/teens.
  • Keep moving from home for Seniors:
Basic movements, exercises, stretches (maybe with adaptations) and resources for seniors who are mostly indoors at this time.
